    Hi Paul, this is my third attempt at writing to you so I'm so sorry if you end up with 3 similar messages!
    So I have to say I am so very humbled that you thought to add me to your people on this journal, and ecstatic also, because you both know how much I love anything alternative. I hope that they told you that sometimes when doing anything alternative you have the possibility of feeling pretty ugly initially when the bad cells are being purged, but soon you will feel stronger and healthier once on the mend. They might have that already covered with the antacid and "other pills" they have you taking. I wouldn't be surprise if that is the case and if so that would be wonderful! Please know that I will be praying that the doctors will know exactly how to fine tune your treatment to be perfect for your system. This is so exciting, I'm so impressed with your thinking outside the western medicine box and doing things that have had success even though not in our country. Yayyy, lets do this!!!

DAY 10 APRIL 3

6:50 AM getting hooked up to stem cell extraction machine Dr. Fedorenko So today was my first day of stem cell extraction. I was hoping that it would happen in one day but I was told I would need a second day. Only Khalid got enough in his first day. He told me it was because I am so old. Youth is so wasted! Johan, Katja, Raul and me all have needed two days. So another early morning tomorrow. It really wasn't that big of a deal. Much less traumatic than having the catheter put in my neck. They hook up the machine to the catheter and it just cycles your blood extracting the stem cells as it goes. At least that is what I think. It is magic to me. I didn't get done until 130pm. Then I had to get a steroid infusion. Then lunch and a nap. The steroids do not treat the MS.  They treat the side effects of the stem cell stimulation medications. DAY 3 MARCH 27

Spent my first night alone in the hospital. Lynnette is at the hotel. I slept fine. I guess all the hotel rooms for years makes it fairly easy. Hospital is nice. Reminds me of UCSF Parnassus or Mt. Zion. Mission Bay is brand new so that is not a fair comparison. Everyone has been very nice. The vibe reminds me of being in a hospital in somewhere more East Coast like Philadelphia. Very nice but on task. I think it would be similar to someone who doesn't speak English coming to the US and how Americans would treat them. This morning they took 12 vials of blood. Height, Weight (65 kg). Swabbed my mouth and nose. Did an ultrasound of my chest and legs. Then I went and did more scans of my mouth and chest. Then more ultrasounds of my chest area (i.e. lungs, heart, kidneys, abdominal area). I also did breathing analysis. I just finished with my favorite thing in the world, an MRI. I hate those machines. DAY 11 APRIL 4

Stem Cell Extraction Complete!!! 130,000,808 Stem Cells removed! I don't really know how many stem cells they collected. It is done though! Very cool! Two days to complete my extraction. They removed my catheter too. Unfortunately I was too freaked out to snap a picture of it. A thin 6" piece of bloody plastic. I should add some detail here... Imagine being in your hospital room at 8pm. Hospital is quiet. Doctor is gone. The nurse comes in alone and sets up everything meticulously. Tells me that I will have to lay still for 30 minutes afterward. Lay on your back. She carefully removes bandages and other miscellaneous items. Exposes my neck. If something goes awry it will just be the two of us. With one quick fluid movement she removes the catheter and plugs the hole. Some things are better unseen!
